Breaking Dawn

I can't believe I never posted about Breaking Dawn!  We went to the midnight show and decided to do the event before hand too.  It was supposed to be dinner at the Mayan but it closed down just before the event so we still got to go eat there but the food was definitely not so good.  Haylie, Amy, Michelle, Camie and I all went and had a lot of fun mostly mocking all the other crazy people and trying our hardest not to be seen on the news or anything.  I love these girls but these events pretty much suck!  We could do better doing one ourselves but oh well we have fun.

These are the Edward and Jacob "look a likes"  ha ha yeah right.  We could not resist getting our pic with them.  They sure thought they were hot stuff.  Jacob loved walking around all night with no shirt on.  I tell you what though people sure got excited about them.  I don't think I would have reacted the way these girls did if it were really Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson for real.  Gotta love crazy Twilight fans.

Haylie was adamant about getting a picture with them while dancing...Michelle and Amy had to join her with these guys and then this crazy girl just jumped in.  I think she just liked touching the half naked not so Jacob boy.

Had to do it

No one would dance with Haylie but that didn't stop her.  Michelle would at least stand by her.

It was quite the night.  I wish I had a pic of the lady sitting behind us in the actual movie.  I think it was her first night out of the house in quite a while.  Poor Camie had to deal with the worst of her.  Who knew one movie could bring a person to tears and the big O all in one night.  And no I am not kidding and yes the O is for that!

Aquarium Adventure

While I was in New Mexico we got to go to the Aquarium.  The kids love it and they go all the time so it was a lot of fun to go and see all the awesome creatures they tell me about.

This picture so perfectly shows the craziness of Bos man.  I love it.

The first little tank we saw

Aidan with the creepy eels.  They are pretty freaky but he is stinking cute.  Love his glasses.

Bos is still a little upset in this picture cause his dad had just made him touch a stingray.  But I am glad at least I got a cute smile from Jackson.

Awesome jelly fish

Stingray...they are a bit intimidating as well.  Couldn't blame Boston for freaking out at touching one...you couldn't pay me to.

This is in the big tank.  There are tons of sharks and all kinds of fish.  Pretty awesome.

Maddie checking out the big blow fish.

We got to eat lunch there too.  Jackson and his faces.  It was a fun day at the aquarium.

Catch Up..Christmas and Beyond

Wow I have been a slacker all year so far!  Here is me trying to play catch up.  I went to New Mexico and got to spend Christmas with Mel, Jac and all the kids.  It was great!  I love these guys and had so much fun spending almost a week with them and getting to meet new baby Reagan.  The kids had no idea I was coming so it was so fun to surprise them.  I don't know who was more excited...me or them!

Love these crazy boys!

Decorating cookies for Santa.  Aidan wore that hat all Christmas Eve.

More decorating

Christmas stories before bed.  Mel and Jac each read one.

Boston was pulling faces at Mel as she tried to read.  He is pretty crazy but I love it.

This is one of the only pictures I got on Christmas morning but I think it shows the excitement pretty well.

Cute Reagan on her first Christmas

Aidan checking where Santa was.  I think they went and checked the computer every 5 minutes.

This isn't near enough of the pictures I have but hey it is a start.  I will have to do another post of our adventure to the Aquarium.

The Spirit of Christmas

I absolutely LOVE this time of year!  I love the music, lights, decorations, shopping and the spirit in the air.  I just love everything about Christmas.  This is one of my favorite songs at Christmas.  Melanie put it with a video years back and I loved it but couldn't find the right video but here is one I did find.  Not my favorite but its the song I want to share.  So here is to the reason we celebrate Christmas.  I am so thankful for the strength of Mary and Joseph and all they sacrificed to make sure this beautiful baby was able to come to the earth and fulfill such a great purpose.  I love my savior and am thankful everyday for what he has done for me.  I am who and where I am only because of him.

Happy Thanksgiving

Well I don't have any actual pictures from Thanksgiving but it was such a fun weekend.  Roy ended up getting to come home so he got to experience a Frew Thanksgiving.  Spencer, Audra and their family came in as well.  While they were here we went to Temple Square to see the lights and we went to the Joseph Smith movie while we were there.  It was so much fun even though it was FREEZING!

Awesome red tree.  I love all the lights!

And a white one...

Garrett and Sam

The floating lights.  I think they look so awesome!

Mom and Dad.  Dad couldn't walk with his bad back and you can't see the arm in the big sling but he was a good sport and let us push him around in the wheelchair.  I think he had it best with all those warm blankets on him!

Just thought this pic was cool

This was a set up they had in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  Its the only group photo I got.  It was such a fun weekend.  Amy and Roy had to go back early so Roy could go back to work but I was glad they all got to come home for Thanksgiving.  Being the only one left here I have realized even more than before how much I love my family and love when they come to visit.  I love the kids and how excited they get to see me.  I am so thankful for all of them!

Thankful

I love the time of year we are coming into.  I love Christmas but sometimes we all seem to overlook Thanksgiving.  This is one of my favorite songs and wanted to share.  This year has been quite a hard one for many reasons so it has been good for me to listen to this song and remember that I do have so much to be thankful for.  I have been trying to think of 1 thing to be thankful for each day and though that should be something easy to do it is quite difficult some days.  I am so grateful to have the love and support of so many people in my life.  I know that things happen for a reason and that we are better because of it so lets hope that I learn what I need to from this year and I hope a better one is on its way.

Hunting

It was that time of year again.  I love the hunting season.  I love going to Flaming Gorge and seeing the way it looks in the fall and I love spending the time with my family and the Barbers.  We always have a good time.  I only got to go up for one short weekend so I only got a couple pics.

Apparently pulling a silly face means looking towards the ground...these girls crack me up!

I love this picture.  She is so dang cute.

I told her to smile and this is what I got.  I didn't even realize it until I was looking at the pictures later.  What a dork.

The awesome bald eagle we saw.  My dad got it to fly for me to take a picture of the full wing span but when I snapped all I got was the blue sky.
