Spoiled by Grandpa

So I have to tell a little story about Mya before i explain this picture. My dad told me if I wanted a dog I better find another place to live. I don't listen very well and one weekend while he was working in Vernal we bought Mya. We had a plan all set up that by the time my dad got home we would have her enrolled in obedience school and she would be such a good puppy. So we went and got her and dropped her off at our house for my mom to babysit while we went and got some food and stuff. About 5 minutes later my mom called us freaking out because my dad came home early. We freaked out for a minute and then decided we might as well face him. He was in his office and I walked in holding my cute little puppy. I just said, "Dad don't hate me." He yelled a few choice words at me and then went to his room and slammed the door. After about 10 or 15 minutes he came out. He was still angry but he just couldn't resist her! He asked what her stupid name was and sat next to her and that is all it took! She has had him wrapped around her paw ever since. We have had her for about 2 years now. She really is a good dog. In the summer she pretty much lives with him on the mountain. He loves to buy her treats and toys everytime he goes to the store. This is his latest "treat" he found.
I just had to laugh when she came running down the stairs in this. My dad is such a dork!

A trip to see Santa

This is my first post on our blog and i am excited about it. I figured since it is technically wendi and amy's blog i would add a little something to it. This last weekend Justin and Lori came up to go christmas shopping. While they were here we decided to go to RC Willeys and see Santa. It was fun. They take your picture and print it out for you for free. The kids were really excited to see Santa and make sure that he knew what they wanted. When we got there Maddie wasted no time marching right up to him and talking to him. I didn't even have time to grab the camera before she was done and eating her candy cane.
Jackson was the next one to step on up and talk to the big guy. He made sure Santa knew he wanted some bokugons. I honestly don't understand what is so cool about those things but apparently they are amazing.
Aidan wasn't so sure what he thought about going and sitting on this crazy man's lap. After some coaxing from Jac and Santa offering him a candy cane he decided it was okay to try it.
I was actually surprised that Boston didn't freak out a little. I think he was just excited to be out of his car seat.
Tanner would not even go close to Santa. He said he had all ready written him a letter telling him what he wanted for christmas so he didn't need to go talk to him. Hannah had a little bit of a freak out. She wasn't going to sit on his lap but we did get her to stand next to him and tell him what she wanted.
Grandpa tried to show the kids that Santa wasn't scary. I think Santa was a little surprised by this one!Abby wasn't fooled by grandpa. Jac tried his coaxing again but she was not having it. This is as close as we got her.

Finally after all the tears and they found Kung Fu Panda on one of the big screens in electronics and they were happy.
